The Azimut Benetti Group holds its 12th annual Yachtmaster event in Perugia, Italy, March 7-10. The annual invitation-only event is open to captains of Azimut Benetti yachts 85 feet and larger and is a great opportunity to network and learn about some of the builder’s latest initiatives and technologies, as well as provide feedback and comments.

The three-day program will feature round table discussions with technical and commercial managers from various divisions of Azimut Benetti, including Yachtique, and Lusben, which specifically address client service and refit respectively.
Experts from the fields of technology, navigation, crew recruitment and regulations will also provide updated information on a variety of timely topics.
Technical workshops this year will focus on crew training and placement; new luxury taxes on yachts; insurance, Maltese leasing and the recently introduced Yachtique Card; the new antipollution regulation (IMO3), to come into force in 2016; garbage management on board (Marpol V); and ISM and Mini-ISM.
Of course, this also is a social event, designed to develop and reinforce teamwork and conviviality. The host hotel this year is in the lovely historic town of Perugia, in Italy’s Umbria region. Located on a hilltop, the town, which dates back to Etruscan times, overlooks beautiful green hills. The Yachtmater program includes a fun-filled day planned at a natural recreation area. Azimut Benetti has a few surprises in store no doubt. Suffice to say, this natural park features nice hills and a whitewater rafting area.
