Tecnomar, the flagship brand of The Italian Sea Group, presents its latest concept: Domus, a 118-foot (36-meter) megayacht which is configured to be a true ‘villa by the sea’.

The new Domus concept, developed by the internal team of The Italian Sea Group, marks a new point of reference in the sports yacht sector. Domus features large volumes, high overheads, and retractable windows. The yacht has a large 388 sqft (36sqm) beach club which, in addition to being the first point of contact to get on board, is the direct passage to access the areas of the lower deck and the main deck. The beach club area, thanks to the large side windows, creates a strong connection between the sea and decks, offering a perception of continuity between indoor and outdoor environments. At the bow of the lower deck there is a large space that houses a fully equipped gym area and a living area served also as a bar area.

The main deck, conceived as a single large open space, houses the main areas of the living area: from the dining room with adjoining salon, to the well-laid out kitchen area. The floor-to-ceiling windows lend an extraordinary brightness to the interior spaces.

The sunbathing area is located in the bow and can be easily transformed into a maneuvering area thanks to the fully mobile furnishings. Domus has a 646 sqft (60 sqm) sun deck with a 360 ° field of view, without interruptions from bow to stern. The sun deck houses a lounge area with bar, special sound system, and a large sundeck. This area can be opened thanks to the presence of up and down side windows and the aft windproof door, which allows this area to be comfortable in all seasons. Also in the bow there is a solarium from which guests can enjoy an exceptional open view. The bridge is positioned at the point of maximum visibility on board.

Domus’s interior is enriched by boiserie reinterpreted in a contemporary note with an oriental flavor. The different types of wood combined with Calacatta golden marble offer a sophisticated and harmonious color palette.

The accommodations have a 5-cabin layout, including two doubles, to offer guests a decidedly cozy stay.

From a technical point of view, the yacht has been designed entirely in aluminum which, in addition to offering a sinuous and captivating aesthetic, confirms Tecnomar’s attention to the environment and its commitment to sustainability.

The propulsion is based on 4 Volvo 1350 kw engines with 4 IPS, two 50kw generators and zero speed stabilizing fins. The estimated maximum cruising speed is 21 knots.
