In the fresh wake of the launch of 48-meter steel and aluminum Andiamo, Baglietto shifts gears to splash Ridoc, the builder’s first MV19 model. The 19.5-meter project represents the natural evolution of the MV13 model and was been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design with Baglietto, for both interior and exterior.

The MV series draws inspiration from the First and Second World Wars. Paying tribute to the military crafts that made history of the Liguria-based yachting brand, the series’ reinterprets some of their singular features and shapes in a modern style matching them with architectural elements adapted from the open concept. Symmetrical air intakes along the hull freeboard underline the rigorous style of both Francesco Paszkowski and the Baglietto open lines themselves. The metallic dark grey color enhances the aggressive lines of the boat giving her strength and power.

The interior design, created in cooperation with architect Margherita Casprini, focuses on in-depth exploration of materials and finishes to combine a retro allure with contemporary comfort demands. Also, the most updated audio-visual systems with satellite TV are included. The upholstery is canaletto nut with white lacquered walls, while the floors are dark oak. The result is a beautifully accessorized boat that still has a powerfully decisive character consistent with the sporty look of the exterior.

The layout of Ridoc presents the master stateroom forward and two guests cabins with ensuite bathrooms amidships. In between is a spacious open dinette with comfortable sofas and a well-equipped galley. At the owner request, a third cabin, for the captain, has direct access from the exterior.

Abaft the open helm is a dinette and a wet bar. Forward and aft are two large sun pad areas with cushions. The deep V-shaped hull allows high performance and solid seakeeping and maneuverability—a Baglietto trademark. Entirely built in aluminum, the yacht hits a top speed of approximately 40 knots thanks to twin MAN V12 1800-hp engines.

After cruising this summer, Ridoc will make her official world debut at the Cannes boat show.
