Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design has designed a new 157-foot model known as the Ketos 48-meter Sport Open for Viareggio-based Rossinavi. The builder already has a range of semi-custom yachts that comprise a 147-foot raised pilothouse design and a 157-foot RPH under construction, plus a 174-foot trideck. The new Ketos blends elegance and muscle and draws inspiration from nature (note the windows mimicking shark gills). The design exudes strength and agility and, thanks to its naval architecture and light marine alloy hull, the yacht will have excellent trim and performance. Ketos is meant to be a very comfortable yacht with bright, spacious and luxurious interiors—which include hydraulically operated platforms that turn into balconies off of the owner’s suite and the main salon. The interior design is quite flexible, allowing the owner to choose from different layout options. Stylistically, the interior spaces are a compromise between modern lines and precious materials. The materials proposed for the interior decoration are wengé in a glossy or matte finish, lacquered wood, refined hand-sewed leather and backlit onyx. Two different engine configurations are available: two MTU 16V 2000 M94 (2,600 hp each) plus one MTU 12V 4000 M93 (3,500 hp) or three MTU 12V 4000 M93 coupled with two KaMeWa hydrojets and a central booster. With the more powerful configuration, the yacht can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 36.
