Currently at the helm is Fulvio Codecasa, who works with his two daughters and sons-in-law; he has guided the shipyard since the early 1970s when Codecasa launched its first steel vessel. The Codecasas’ longevity says something about their passion and devotion to their craft, which contributed to the growth of the brand and the company.
Codecasa’s craftsmen are currently hard at work on three new projects. Under construction in Viareggio is the second hull in Codecasa’s 42 Vintage series. F. 75, a displacement vessel with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, is due to launch before summer 2013.
Codecasa Yachts is busy with the construction of its first 50 Open. Thanks to three MTU 16V 2000 M94 2,600-hp engines and two Kamewa water jets, this 163-foot yacht will reach tops speeds of 28 knots.
