Monaco Yacht Show 2015

In its 25th year, the world’s premier superyacht show is bigger—and greener—than ever.

Tankoa 227

Tankoa Yachts, established in Italy in 2008, has launched its first yacht, the 227-foot (69.3-meter) Suerte.

Balance Of Power: Columbus 40-meter Sport Hybrid

With her dashing exterior lines, crisp interior design and innovative powertrain, the Columbus 40M Sport Hybrid is causing a stir. But is the new superyacht from Italy’s Palumbo Shipyard the final word in alternative propulsion technologies?

Making Waves: Palumbo Shipyards Unveils “Sport Hybrid” Series

Italian builder Palumbo Shipyards introduced a new series of “green” yachts with hybrid propulsion at an elegant cocktail party at the Hôtel de Paris during the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show. The Columbus Sport Hybrid line, which ranges from 65 to 213 feet (25 to 65 meters), will be constructed entirely of aluminum on a displacement hullform designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.

Oceans 12: Rossinavi Aslec 4

You may remember that earlier this year we presented you with “a splendid surprise” from Viareggio-based Rossinavi. The superyacht Numptia has a fantastic interior by Achille Salvagni and styling by Tommaso Spadolini. Spadolini also collaborated with Rossinavi on the beautiful 148-foot (45-meter) Aslec 4.

FarSounder’ Next Generation Navigation Sonars

After several years of development, US-based marine electronics manufacturer FarSounder has introduced its new generation of navigation sonars at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show—the FarSounder-500 (able to detect target 500 meters away) and FarSounder-1000 (for targets 1000 meters away).
