And that probably has a lot to do with the fact that the yachts share the same design team: Australian Sam Sorgiovanni and naval architecture firm Azure.
Vijay Mallya, chairman of the UB Group, which includes Kingfisher beer and an airline by the same name, purchased the yacht, formerly used by the Emir of Qatar, in 2006. The list price at the time was $113 million, although the sales amount was not disclosed.
