The America’s Cup events in San Francisco will be a spectator sport and a musical event. One of the headliners will be multi-Grammy award-winning recording artist Sting. As San Francisco does not currently have a waterfront concert arena, organizers will build one. The temporary 9,000-seat arena will be located between Piers 27 and 29, near the America’s Cup Pavilion. Concert tickets go on sale February 22 at 10 am through Ticketmaster. The concert season will run through October, and organizers are expected to add to the concert lineup soon.
