Established in 2010 in Italy’s Marche region, Wider pioneered the introduction of serial hybrid technology for the propulsion and services of its yachts. This technology remains unsurpassed to this day and has been successfully implemented on two superyachts: a 45-meter (147-footer) and a 52-meter (171-footer), that have been sailing since 2015 and 2018, respectively.

In 2019, Marcello Maggi, a seasoned expert in the field, who had been following the shipyard and its groundbreaking technology for some time, acquired the company and gave great impetus to the design of new models and began working on the company’s growth strategy.

In 2022, the Ancona-based shipyard unveiled the new WiderCat 92, the first multihull in the history of the shipyard and began the construction of the Moonflower 72 fully custom superyacht. Both are equipped with the state-of-the-art Wider serial hybrid propulsion system.

Wider, today also boasts a production site in Venezia and another in Fano, which is currently under construction.
