ARES Yachts has officially entered the superyacht sector with the launch of SIMENA, its first vessel over 60 meters. This 62-meter, ketch-rigged sailing yacht combines classical lines with cutting-edge design and technology, marking a bold new direction for the Antalya-based shipyard.
Set to make its world debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, SIMENA ranks among the 25 longest sailing superyachts in the world. Built in steel and carbon composite, she’s engineered for global cruising in luxury and style.

“We’ve built a yacht that sets a new benchmark for performance, comfort, and style,” says Piraye Sahinkaya Orhun, Yachts Projects Director at ARES Yachts. “SIMENA blends the elegance of a classic ketch with modern innovations—designed for a true connoisseur.”
Her sweeping exterior, sculpted by Taka Yacht Design, pays tribute to timeless sailing traditions with laid teak decks and varnished sipo mahogany detailing. Inside, Design Unlimited has created a contemporary yet classic atmosphere, using walnut cabinetry, rich leathers, antiqued brass, and marbles including Calacatta Oro and Patagonia White. Discreetly integrated features like pop-up TV lifts preserve the yacht’s clean aesthetic.

Accommodations include a forward-facing owner’s suite on the main deck, plus space for 11 additional guests and nine crew. Designed to RINA Charter Class C standards, SIMENA is a true bluewater cruiser.
A sophisticated hybrid drive allows near-silent electric cruising up to 6 knots. An 882 kW (1,183 hp) diesel engine supplements twin 220 kW electric motors, delivering a top speed of 14.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.
“With SIMENA, ARES Yachts sets the tone for its future fleet—bold, timeless, and technologically advanced,” adds Sahinkaya Orhun.

SIMENA is available for sale through Northrop & Johnson.
