Next Yacht Group, through its brand Maiora, has unveiled its new 42-meter flagship yacht, the Maiora 42 Exuma. Revealed within the newly renovated Deck Lounge in Viareggio, the model sets a new benchmark in luxury yachting by reimagining onboard life with a human-centered approach.

Designed by Maiora in collaboration with Giorgio Maria Cassetta for the exterior and ELIE SAAB for the interiors, the 42 Exuma embodies a bold departure from conventional layouts. Guest cabins are relocated to the main deck, maximizing natural light and privacy, while crew quarters, service areas, and technical functions are moved to the lower deck, improving onboard circulation and comfort.

“This yacht is about redefining how we live at sea,” says Sebastiano Fanizza, CEO of Next Yacht Group. “The 42 Exuma abandons outdated nautical constraints in favor of a design that enhances the quality of life onboard. It marks a transition akin to a Renaissance—spaces made to be lived, not just seen.”

The yacht features exterior lines by Giorgio Maria Cassetta that emphasize fluidity, transparency, and seamless indoor-outdoor integration. The profile showcases sleek horizontal surfaces and expansive glass, offering uninterrupted views and fostering a continuous connection with the sea. “This is not just a technical project,” says Cassetta. “It’s an emotional one—a refined, high-performance gentleman’s yacht with transformative spaces.”

Inside, ELIE SAAB’s timeless aesthetic—under the creative direction of Carlo Colombo (A++)—introduces elegant materials like Mystic Ocean marble, light-bronzed mirrors, and handcrafted teak. Every element has been curated or custom-designed to ensure beauty, durability, and performance at sea.

Spanning four decks, the 42 Exuma offers accommodations for 12 guests in four VIP suites and a full-beam owner’s suite, all on the main deck. A central corridor leads to well-appointed guest suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. The owner’s suite includes a private lounge, two walk-in wardrobes, and his-and-her bathrooms.

The upper deck is a standout feature: a panoramic indoor-outdoor lounge with fold-down terraces, a transparent-bottomed aft pool, and a fully openable layout that dissolves boundaries between exterior and interior. A circular sunbed at the bow rotates to follow the sun throughout the day. The 80-square-meter sun deck above offers complete customization for relaxation, socializing, or contemplation.

Crew quarters have also been elevated, with five cabins for nine, a spacious mess, laundry, cold/dry storage, and private outdoor space. Access routes ensure privacy and efficiency.
