38th Annual Event Set for March 3rd – 6th at Mardi Gras Casino

The Mardi Gras Casino will once again be the scene of the Dania Beach Marine Flea Market in 2016. For four days, March 3rd – 6th, the 26-acre parking lot of the Casino will be transformed into the world’s largest nautical ‘swap shop.’ For boat owners, fisherman, divers and anyone with an interest in things nautical, the Dania Marine Flea Market is a bargain hunter’s dream-come true.

Private individuals and marine related businesses sell used marine equipment, coral encrusted antiques, new and used boats, fishing tackle, diving gear, marine artwork and other boating related items at unbelievably low prices. According to Jennifer Dudas, Event Coordinator, “Some shoppers to the Marine Flea Market travel hundreds of miles to find that elusive part for a 1946 vintage outboard motor. Others are looking for antique fishing tackle. Over the four days, thousands of boating and fishing related items are bought and sold through a system of dickering and dealing at a fraction of their retail value.”

Visitors can find antique ships’ clocks displayed next to state-of-the-art marine electronics. New and used SCUBA gear finds its place in a booth with outboard motors and marine artwork. Need a replacement prop? You can find hundreds – new and used in all sizes. From anchors (a) to zinc collars (z), there are literally acres of incredible deals and huge savings for the whole family at the Dania Marine Flea Market. Uniquely, the Marine Flea Market offers an informal, almost party-like, atmosphere where shoppers can enjoy a wide variety of food and drink while they wonder the isles in search of nautical ‘treasures’ or a fishing boat.

The Mardi Gras Casino is located at US1 and Pembroke Road in Hallandale Beach, Florida. The Marine Flea Market is easily accessible from I-95 and the Florida Turnpike and there are acres of free parking on the property. The Marine Flea Market gates open to the public at 9:00 AM each day March 3rd – 6th and close at 6:00 PM Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 4:00 PM on Sunday.
