Ocean Independence says Brendan P. O’Brien has taken command of MY Vicky. O’Brien brings with him charter experience from yachts, like Audacia and Lady Jenn. MY Vicky is available for charter in the Caribbean and Bahamas.

Educational Captain’s Breakfast from Unlimited Marine Services

Whether you’re already looking around for your yachts next technology upgrade or not, if you’re going to be in South Florida at the end of the month you may want to attend Unlimited Marine Service’s exclusive Educational Breakfast. Over breakfast you will witness demonstrations of two different products: T-SAT and G.U.E.S.T. T-SAT, powered by Crestron, provides integrated control for video sources and much more including lights, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and window shades and blinds. G.U.E.S.T. is perfectly geared toward guest use and can display useful information such as activities, help guests make personal requests or even let the captain and crew alert passengers to incoming phone calls or messages. Will Knapp of Crestron Electronics will also be on hand to provide an overview of his company’s latest advances.

The event takes place from 8:30am to 10:30am, Thursday, February 28th at The Captain’s Lounge, Lauderdale Marine Center, 2001 SW20th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.

AYS 2013

The Antibes Yacht Show is already on the horizon, but this year even organizers come bearing gifts: free Wi-Fi for both show exhibitors and visitors.
