Edmiston announced the expansion of its presence in the United States with the appointment of Bruce Brakenhoff, Jr, as Director of the newest Edmiston office in Newport, Rhode Island. Bruce, the former Chairman of Perini Navi USA, will be joined by Dirk Johnson, Rana Johnson and Linda Janney who were all previously part of the Perini Navi USA team.
The expansion in the US and appointment of the former Perini team is an exciting development for Edmiston.
Edmiston Chief Executive Jamie Edmiston says: “I have known Bruce for a number of years and his legacy and that of his family is unquestionable. We have worked together on a number of deals over the years and I am delighted to welcome Bruce, Dirk, Rana and Linda to the Edmiston US team. I’m confident that working alongside Robert Shepherd and his team in New York will present a formidable proposition to yacht owners and charterers alike”.

The new Edmiston office officially opened on the 1 September 2020 and will have divisions dedicated to charter and sales. The Newport office is situated in the former Perini premises on Goat Island – the office Bruce has been working in since 1983, where he worked alongside his late father, the legendary Bruce Brakenhoff Sr. who ran his eponymous company Bartram & Brakenhoff with business partner Joe Bartram.
Now with two offices in North America, and two in Mexico, Edmiston’s growing US presence allows them to maximize results to their US clients.
