The 138-foot (42-meter) Moonen Sofia is the yard’s largest build to date, but the yacht is also notable because she was designed to accommodate a three-passenger C-Quester 3 submersible from U-Boat Worx. Blending the style of a classic explorer yacht and more modern-style vessels, this project brought together René van der Velden, Stolk Marimecs, Frank Pieterse and Marilyn de Vaal of Art-Line, Inoferro, as well as Moonen’s in-house team of designers and craftsmen. Sofia was built to comply with Lloyd’s and MCA requirements and standards.
