Horizon Yachts has revealed its largest E-series motoryacht package to date, the new E98 Motoryacht.

Derived from owner feedback, the E98 shares an aesthetic resemblance to her sistership, the Horizon E88 model, one of currently 21 models and eight series by the builder. Drawn by Swedish designer John Lindblom, the E98 was made to be a sleek, efficient and stable performance vessel suited for what Horizon Group CEO John Lu said are “clients who are not yet ready to make the leap to 110-foot-plus yachts but are searching for something larger than 90 feet. With a 6-foot draft, the E98 motoryacht is capable of cruising shallow water as well. The E98 boasting a twin CAT 1600-hp C32 package with an option for a 1900-hp upgrade to capitalize on the 40 percent increased fuel capacity from the E88 model for longer-range cruising.

Entertainment space aboard the vessel comprises a spacious aft deck and a bow seating area with dinette and sunpads, while the roomy interior is customized to the owner’s preference. In her standard layout, the E98 includes a main salon, formal dining, galley, a country style kitchen on her main deck, and four guest staterooms along with crew quarters below deck. Offered in both skylounge and open bridge versions.

Do It Now, the first E98 motoryacht in build, was contracted by a repeat U.S. customer and is scheduled to be delivered in early 2017. Do It Now will be the open bridge version featuring a fixed front glass windshield accompanied by EZ2CY side panels to allow the space to transform from open-air to an enclosed, air-conditioned area. On the same deck are to be included an L-shaped bar with seating for five, a large dinette, a commercial icebox, hi/lo BBG, and storage for lounge chairs along with a custom interior extending the main salon forward through the standard occupied formal dining room prior to the owner’s customization. Do It Now will have the 1900-hp engine option for an estimated top speed of 22.5 knots at half-load.
