The first unit to hit the water was 108ft/ 33m hull No. 2 of the Mangusta GranSport line, officially sold just one year ago to an American client, as had been the case with the first unit, currently based in Florida.
“The Mangusta GranSport 33 is a highly successful model built for the American market, proving that the Mangusta brand is conquering an increasing number of American owners, thanks to both its yachts’ stylish exterior lines and the huge volumes and versatility found on every single vessel. The second unit, unlike the first, has been configured with an open sundeck, allowing her guests to enjoy cruising en plein air in the Bahamas” says Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta President Americas.

The Mangusta GranSport 33 is the composite entry level among fast displacement yachts. This model comes with a cutting-edge propulsion system consisting of 4 Volvo Penta D13 735kW (~1000HP) engines coupled with 4 IPS pods, which ensure outstanding efficiency, extraordinary manoeuvrability, and a maximum speed of 25 knots while preserving the unparalleled comfort guaranteed by low vibrations and noiselessness.
Some among the most widely appreciated features of this model are its volumes, such as the 132 sqft/ 40 sqm master stateroom, located on the main deck. Also on the main deck, the salon is brightened by the natural light that shines through the ceiling-high glass surfaces, two of which can be opened. The sun deck covers a 184sqft/56sqm surface and has a large lounge, sunbathing area and a Jacuzzi. The garage can fit a sizable tender and two jet-skis, and the aft platform can be extended to create a fully-equipped beach club fitted with a ladder and a shower.
The Mangusta GranSport line, pencilled by Alberto Mancini, has been engineered by Overmarine Group to deliver a truly long range at cruising speed, but also to reach high speeds, always in comfort.
The second yacht to be launched was the Maxi Open line flagship, the fourteenth unit of the Mangusta 165, and the fifth in the “E” series, built for a European client.

This vessel reflects the wishes expressed by her Owner, who wanted to harmonize aesthetic beauty, functionality, and world-class engineering in one yacht. With her eye-catching lines, this yacht cruises from one destination to the next, relying on technologically advanced solutions and systems, and offering her guests superlative onboard comfort.
“This yacht will allow her Owner to enjoy an unsurpassed cruising experience; the Mangusta 165E embodies timeless beauty with no detriment to technical functionality and enables her guests to enjoy the sea at high speed, always in the safest conditions” explains Ivan Adzic, France Area Manager, who secured the sale.
The yacht will be offered fort charter by Dominique Gapillout from brokerage house L’Echo Nautique.
The Mangusta 165E can reach a maximum speed of 37 knots thanks to 4 MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines and 4 Kamewa waterjets and has a draft – of 6ft 2in/ 1.9m- which makes her ideal to cruise in shallow waters, too. 4 Seakeeper stabilizers contribute to maximum onboard comfort, both when cruising and at anchor, in all sea conditions and at more limited speeds, thereby also increasing the yacht’s range and optimising consumption. This model is also fitted with dynamic positioning, allowing to keep the vessel firmly in the position selected on the GPS.
This unit in particular is characterized by a layout, tailored to her Owner’s wishes, featuring 6 cabins plus an extra cabin used as wellness area and fitted with a massage / beauty treatment table.
Both units are expected to be delivered within the summer.
