72-meter finally finds the water

It has been a long time in coming, but Dunya Yachts of Pendik, Turkey, has launched the 236-foot (72-meter) Red Square. We first heard of the project back in 2008 when Dunya released preliminary renderings. By all standards, Red Square was a complex project, and the timing was challenging, to say the least. Finally, the long-anticipated yacht is here. Featuring an exterior design by Sterling/Scott and interior by Alberto Pinto, the five-deck vessel features equipment from top manufacturers and a large garage with two hull-side doors that drop down to form a gigantic beach club. Other highlights include an aft-deck pool with glass walls and a very private sun deck with Jacuzzi. The yacht has a top speed of about 17 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a maximum range of about 4,200 nautical miles. Edmiston, which managed the new-build project, has Red Square listed for sale.
