This 324-foot yacht goes 24 knots
Four years in the making, Feadship’s 324-foot-10-inch (99-meter) yacht, project name Dream, recently was launched in Makkum in the Netherlands. The Andrew Winch–designed Dream is the largest yacht built to date by Feadship, although the Dutch builder’s order book also includes a yacht more than 328 feet (100 meters) in length. As usual, naval architecture is by De Voogt, whose designers gave Dream an efficient hull capable of a 24-knot top speed—a pretty remarkable feat for a yacht of her size. Among her many qualities, both stylistic and technical, Dream boasts extraordinary features like a certified, fully enclosed helicopter hangar. She will take her place in the Top 100 this year.
