Fulvio Dodich reinforces the leadership

The CEO of Sanlorenzo, Fulvio Dodich, is better known for his longtime association with a rival shipyard. Dodich joined Ferretti in 1996, serving as CEO of the Ferretti, Custom Line and Mochi Craft brands from 2002 until 2007, as well as managing director of Ferretti S.p.A. during his final year, until he left to pursue a career in the financial sector.

This February, Dodich joined Massimo Perotti at the helm of multifaceted Italian yachtbuilder Sanlorenzo. Perotti, a majority shareholder, naturally remains fully involved in the business he acquired from Giovanni Jannetti after leaving Azimut-Benetti in 2004.

For many years the two men were direct competitors. However, according to Dodich, who sat down with us for an interview at the 2013 Yacht & Brokerage Show, they always enjoyed a relationship of mutual respect. The new CEO has no plans to reverse what has been accomplished to date. Perotti has implemented a plan of expansion and product diversification on a grand scale, opening several international offices, including Sanlorenzo of the Americas. The shipyard, Dodich says, has the right strategy and the right products. His role primarily will be to expand markets and to help increase sales.
