Measuring less than 24 meters (79 feet) in length, the Merlin 80 is the first composite yacht designed by the Turkish shipyard of the same name specifically intended to not require a professional crew. The hull shape was created by Karataş Yacht Design studio. The hydraulic/electric system that drives the deck hardware and the presence of basic crew accommodation make the Merlin 80 ideal for a family or short-handed use.

This yacht, whose construction will require 12 months, is available in several configurations: three or four cabins, suitable for private and charter use; ketch rigged or single masted/cutter-rigged. Standard spars are aluminum, but carbon can be fitted on request should the owner seek better performances and sailing comfort. The raised pilothouse provides 360 degrees visibility.

Merlin Yachts was established in the spring of 2011 when the first Merlin-branded motorsailer was successfully launched.
