This year is Ocean Reef Club’s 19th annual Vintage Weekend, a four-day event showcasing classic automobiles, aircraft and yachts. From Thursday, December 5 through Sunday, December 8, members and guests will gather for a variety of activities such as a costume dinner and dance, a yacht hop, a road rally, a beachfront reception and an airshow. Taking advantage of Ocean Reef’s 2,500 acres in the Florida Keys, Vintage Weekend will make use of the club’s private airstrip and marina. Attendees will not only be members of the club, but guests invited to take part in the festivities and view the club’s attractions.
“Vintage Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for people to not only admire the world’s finest conveyances up close, but also to share in a memorable social experience among new and old friends,” explains Vintage Weekend Co-founder Vicki Goldstein. “Ocean Reef Club is one of the few places in the world that can host all three modes of vintage transportation by land, sea, and air—and also offer flawless hospitality in a stunning setting.”
In addition to the festivities, awards are also given out in several categories across all three modes of transportation. In years past, winners have included restored Trumpy yachts, Donald Aronow’s 1963 25-foot Formula powerboat named The Cigrette and the carefully restored ex-Presidential yacht Honey Fitz.
