Burger Boat Company recently delivered its newest Burger 48 Cruiser, Hull 512, to her owner. The 48ft (14.63m) aluminum cruiser was developed in conjunction with Vripack Naval Architects and features an interior from DeBasto Designs.
The yacht was christened Thursday, Aug.15 by her owner at Burger’s shipyard in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The owner took immediate delivery and, after a trip to Door County, Wisconsin, will cross Lake Michigan to the yacht’s new home.
“We are proud to deliver this extraordinary yacht. Now her new owners can enjoy a lifetime of adventures with family and friends,” says Jim Ruffolo, president, Burger Boat Company. “A Burger 48 Cruiser is the perfect opportunity to start the yachting journey.”
According to Burger, The Burger 48 Cruiser offers the boating enthusiast the opportunity to acquire an alternative to a production boat, whereby he can work with Burger to design and craft a custom cruiser to meet his own specific requirements.
This yacht is powered by twin 600hp Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 engines and provides her owner with joystick control for enhanced maneuverability. The Burger 48 Cruiser incorporates Vripack’s revolutionary Slide Hull Design. This hull design provides a cruising speed of approximately 26 knots and a top speed of approximately 31 knots in comfort. Alustar aluminum is used to provide increased strength and corrosion resistance without adding weight. This Burger 48 Cruiser features two ensuite staterooms with elegant and modern design touches from DeBasto Designs. Its open salon/galley area provides unobstructed views, and its exceptional exterior spaces are perfect for entertaining friends and family.
