SCREEN – 70 is a fully defined superyacht platform designed by naval architect Frank Neubelt, principal of Frank Neubelt Yacht Design (FNYD). Neubelt has had more than 25 years in yacht design and naval architecture, and he says SCREEN has undergone two years of deep analysis.
The voluminous 230ft/ 70m world cruiser, at 1400 GT, offers 7535 sqft /700 sqm of living spaces for her owner and his family or guests.
The spacious private owner’s deck features a large master-stateroom arrangement including private front and aft terraces. Guest areas comprise four twin cabins on the lower deck plus two VIP staterooms on the upper deck each with their own terraces and a lounge area including an office /study — all with large windows.
There is a spacious pool and beach club of 1,184sqft/ 110 sqm that has an integrated cinema plus well defined spaces at the bow with garages for big tenders and toys. The yacht offers Pacific range as it is powered via a sustainable hybrid – diesel electric Rolls-Royce system at 16kn/18knot maximum speed.
On the main-deck forward of the spacious guests- & friends- salon is the central lobby which has a guest bathroom and 2- person elevator that extends over all 4 decks. The dining area is positioned on forward starboard side with a sliding door that separates it from a portside home-galley for use as private owner galley or “chef – show cooking” experiences. The main galley is positioned on the lower crew deck. There are service pantries on all four decks and dumb waiters that service all decks including the sun deck.
When the tenders are launched out of the forward deck side garages, these areas become additional outdoor areas, which can be reached via a sliding glass door from the dining room. These spaces can or can be used as indoor /outdoor-relaxing zones when at anchor.
The lower deck that houses four of the guest cabins has a walk through a corridor that offers a glassed -in glimpse of the engine-room workings. 4 X ROLLS ROYCE electric-diesel Generator Powerpack services 2 x 1550 kw E-AZI-POD Propulsion that provide quiet cruising of 15 to18 knots speed.
The naval architecture and its special hull lines were created by the team of German Yacht Couture (GYC)-agency affiliates that has branches in Palma, Amsterdam, Miami and Vienna. The slender bow waterline performance hull developed in cooperation with by GYC-Agency affiliate naval design company FIDMAR of Vienna was done in collaboration with hydrodynamic expert, Richard Anzboeck. The naval architecture of the steel hull and aluminum superstructure was created by Neubelt and executed together with GYC-Agency’s technical design hub main affiliate cooperatives, Udo Hafner and his engineering detailing-firm and follows Lloyds Class fulfilling TIER-Rules of “green” foot-print engineering.
