Abeking & Rasmussen’s 223-foot /68-meter motoryacht, Soaring was removed from the shed, loaded onto the syncrolift, and lowered into the water for the first time last week.

Named after the majestic flight of an eagle, she is a classic gentleman’s yacht with a sophisticated and elegant interior. She was designed inside and out by the Bremen-based design studio “FOCUS Yacht Design.

“We are very excited to see how great our concepts for interior and exterior design are coming into being. The shipyard works like clockwork and the opportunity to work on both design spheres allows an integrated and holistic approach. As a result, the yacht turned out modern and timeless at the same time.” said Thomas Mühe, Managing Director of FOCUS Yacht Design.

Superyacht Technical Services were the Owner’s representatives and project managers during the construction process. With a size of more than 1,500 Gross Tons, Soaring is a world cruiser.

Prior to launching Soaring, A& R’s latest custom yachts were the groundbreaking Cloudbreak, Aviva, Elandess and Excellence.

Soaring will not only be available for her Owner´s pleasure but also for charter guests.

Ocean Independence, based in Zurich, has been appointed for both yacht manager and charter central agent of this new build.

The yacht is now undergoing final fit out before sea trials and is on schedule for delivery from the shipyard in April.
