Turkish builder Tansu Yachts, which drew attention at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show with an original steel 119-foot expedition yacht now named Bartender (formerly Nomade), has a new yacht approaching completion. Only Now is a 111-foot (33.9-meter) semi-displacement yacht, designed in partnership with Holland-based Diana Yacht Design as naval architects. Only Now, built in wood using cold-molded construction, has a top speed of 22 knots. The yacht features three lower-deck cabins—one double, one convertible double/twin and a spacious owner’s suite with walk-in wardrobe, his-and-hers bathroom and direct access to the gym. The yacht can also accommodate three crewmembers and has space for a nanny’s cabin. The design favors outdoor living spaces. The main salon is small compared to the spacious aft deck, which offers several spaces for dining or lounging alfresco. Tansu executives hope that this project will be the first design in a series of recognizable vessels inspired by a combination of futuristic and retro lines.
