On day one of the Miami International Boat Show, Cigarette and Mercedes AMG unveiled their new designs—the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive and the Cigarette AMG Electric Drive, both painted in an eye-catching neon lime with black accents. The Cigarette hull’s new design is based on the 38-foot Top Gun and powered by two symmetrically mounted powertrains, each with six compact permanent-magnet synchronous electric motors. When it’s all added up, those 12 motors provide a max output of 2,220 horsepower and 2,213 pounds of torque. Despite its power, this Cigarette produces zero carbon emissions, a truly new direction for the go-fast brand.
