Cruise aboard the U.S.S. Potomac

Yachtaid Global is hosting a special even onboard the U.S.S. Potomac on Friday, September 6. This three hour cruise will include dinner, live music and drinks with proceeds supporting Yachtaid’s efforts to bring humanitarian and developmental aid to struggling and isolated nations. The U.S.S. Potomac was christened as the Coast Guard cutter Electra in 1934 until she was claimed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1936 and renamed Potomac. She then served as the presidential yacht until Roosevelt’s death in 1945. The yacht is currently based in Oakland, California.
