Blue Jeans, as the name suggests, will at heart be a casual boat designed to kick back and enjoy long days of relaxation on the sea with friends and family. At the same time, the owners are ensuring all their guests have some very sophisticated facilities to enhance their pleasure.
Built for entertainment in every sense of the word, Blue Jeans has a surprisingly low exterior profile for a yacht with extra high ceilings in the main deck and a raised bow. The latter reflects the concealment of the anchors within the forepeak to generate space on the foredeck for an additional chill-out zone. When the pop-up table —that recedes flush into the deck here—is raised, people can sit with their legs inside the vacated space.
This clever solution typifies the level of detailed design and engineering going into the project. Other features which are a large garage for a Carbon Craft CC130 turbojet tender which will be launched via a hydraulic swim platform. A retractable dive board will be integrated in the flybridge bulwarks and the main deck lounge will have balconies to both port and starboard.
With the aft doors open, this set-up will create a tremendous inside-out space as well as offer another way to plunge directly into the sea from the balconies. An extra bathroom with shower is found on this deck for those who are unable to resist a quick dip but don’t want to return to their cabin below to change.
The spacious lounge features a bar, three seating zones and a dining area forward with a capstan table that can also serve as a games table. This custom table is capable of automatically enlarging its diameter, doubling its seating capacity while remaining truly circular in the process. Glass in the bulwark, not only is an exterior design feature, but it will also provide special views. The yacht is also slated to have an exceptional sound system.
Blue Jeans will be powered by two large engines each delivering 2600 hp and offering a top speed of around 28 knots. To facilitate the voluminous engine room required, the tender will be placed sideways.
Blue Jeans is a beautifully balanced and well-proportioned yacht that conceals many functions and features. She is due for delivery in the summer of 2022.
