Luxury motor yacht manufacturer Zeelander is celebrating the successful launch of the new Z68 at the 2014 Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show.

Making its American debut, the stunning, Bahia Bleu Z68 on display in Miami Beach was a popular attraction for visitors to the show and received many favorable reviews and comments. A VIP cocktail party for Zeelander owners and business colleagues was also held during the five-day show to mark the occasion, with Brazilian supermodel and Z44 owner Adriana Lima and her husband Marko Jaric among the guests.

The elegant flybridge sports cruiser is the latest model in Dutch yacht builder Zeelander’s stylish range of beautifully-designed vessels, following the launch of the Z44.
Featuring the curved transom, carefully conceived interior and quiet cruising upon which Zeelander has built its reputation, the Z68 has been developed to set new standards in its class and offers panoramic views from the wheelhouse and saloon.

Ylja Venema, Marketing Director, Zeelander, said: “We had a very good show and are extremely happy with all the positive responses. There was huge interest in Zeelander, with a lot of people coming in especially to see the Z68. We were delighted with such a positive show.

“We had a lot of serious visitors and some encouraging leads. It was an excellent week for the brand of Zeelander as a whole as we had two Z44s on display and three more Z44s providing a VIP tender service during the show, as well as an exclusive cocktail party on the Z68 on Saturday evening to celebrate the American premiere.”

Standing out from the crowd with its classic lines and rounded profile, the Z68 embodies the Zeelander ethos of innovative design, unsurpassed quality, exquisite finish and cutting-edge technology.

The standard version of the Z68 will allow an array of customizing options for new owners who wish to individualize their yacht without compromising the quality. Owners can choose from an array of paint colors on the exterior, while Zeelander’s professional and experienced design team works with multiple interior designers to offer personalized finishes to meet individual requirements and style.

The first impressions of the Z68 are of the smooth sheer of her hull and superstructure, gleaming with high gloss metallic paint. The decks, steps, bathing platform and cockpit are covered in long lasting and minimal maintenance composite teak decking, with the exquisite look of the exterior accentuated by the striking oval railing.

The outside entertainment area includes a sundeck with lounge cushions, a covered seating area on the aft deck and a wet bar with fridge and sink. There is also an opening tender garage on the fore deck.

Featuring the finest natural materials, expert craftsmanship and masterful use of space, the interior of the Z68 sets new standards of design in the sport cruiser range. It is the perfect balance of superlative quality and finish with a very user-friendly appeal.

One of the highlights is undoubtedly the amazing panoramic view which illuminates the well-appointed wheelhouse and saloon space. Perfect for entertaining all the passengers and more, the large table accommodates 10 people, plus there is a three-piece aft door that opens up the full width of the saloon and a breakfast bar with five bar stools.

There is a good view forward from the lower helm position, with the helmsman’s chair with hinged back rest integrated into the saloon sofa and all the equipment and data easily accessible. Other features include a flat screen TV with surround system DVD on electric lift, locker with storage for wine glasses and large wine cooler, while the galley includes a large fridge and coffee machine. There is custom-built freezer and washer/dryer unit on the lower deck.

Spacious and well-equipped, the master cabin has a truly luxurious feel with its queen-size bed, en-suite, and walk-in closet with drawers. The theme continues in the VIP cabin forward, which also has a large heads area, and in the two remaining double cabins which share a day-heads. All the heads areas have a Tecma electric toilet and built-in soap hand pump.

Proof that the Z68 has both style and substance is evident in the engine room which features the latest engineering technology to ensure the noise and vibrations are minimized for a smooth and virtually silent passage at a cruising speed of 25 knots.

The highly-specified model on display in Miami features sauna and steam facilities with thermostat in two of the heads, while the master state room is complete with bath, with thermostatic shower, and bidet.
