Oyster World Rally Heads Into the Pacific

Exploring the world on a long-range cruiser is the dream of many. Few will live that dream, at least in the way that the 26 yachts participating in the Oyster World Rally are. The journey began in Antigua in early January. We received a report from the Oyster team, after the fleet made it across the Panama Canal and into the Pacific.

Own a Piece of the Vanderbilt Yachting Legacy

On April 15, 2013, Doyle New York will auction a piece of marine history from the yachts of William K. Vanderbilt II, including an 18-karat gold cocktail tray and 12 Tiffany & Co. 18-karat gold cordial glasses. The serving tray bears the name of Willie K’s beloved Alva, and the cordial glasses boats the monikers of both Ara, launched in 1924, and Alva.

Taking place March 28 to 31, this year’s St. Barths Bucket is fast approaching. The fantastic yachts, the glorious sailing, the unparalleled venue, the raucous parties, the perfect weather, the cast of characters…you simply can’t beat the Bucket.

The 2013 Palm Beach International Boat Show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show, coming up March 21 to 24, is a favorite among many professionals and visitors. The location is appealing, the time of year is usually as safe a bet as you can make on weather in South Florida, and the quality of visitors is exceptionally high. All these factors have contributed to the Palm Beach show’s growing popularity.

This Year’s Boating Scene: It’s Looking up!

At the US winter shows, the boating industry puts its best foot forward. Between Miami and Palm Beach, the region hosts no fewer than five major boat shows. The Yacht & Brokerage Show on Miami Beach and the Miami International Boat Show, and related Strictly Sail, run February 14 to 18. These three shows mark the debut of dozens of new models and showcase hundreds of craft, from small center consoles to megayachts.

Making Waves: 2012 Antigua Charter Yacht Show

Three marinas near Antigua’s English and Falmouth Harbors welcomed 95 charter yachts for the annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show in December. Motor and sailing yachts from 58 to 229 feet competed for about 300 industry professionals’ attention.

The 2013 Cavallino Yacht Hop

Yachts International, along with HMY, hosted a yacht hop as part of the Cavallino Classic weekend. Take a look at party and keep an eye out for the 2014 event!
