
Oyster’s World Rally Continues in 2016

On Apr. 25, London will play host to two awards that are not often seen in the same location: The America’s Cup and the Louis Vuitton Cup. During an event organized by Ocean Independence and sponsored in part by Yachts International, guests will be able to view the two prestigious cups while enjoying cocktails.

This week, check out what’s happening at Vicem and Nautor’s Swan and view a couple of the winners of the 2013 Asia Boating Awards hosted by Blue Inc during the Hainan Rendez-Vous.

The Antibes Yacht Show runs Apr. 18-21 and it promises to be an event to remember. Event coordinators have been working hard to draw yachts over 65 feet (20 meters), Alter Ego, the 111-foot (34-meter) tug converted by CMN in 2001, will be just one of the big boats on display.

On March 23, the Yachts International Lake Pavilion at the Palm Beach Boat Show was the venue for the kick-off party for the new foundation, Ports of Cause (POC). The primary sponsors of the event were Active Interest Media and Element Financial.

In addition to a vast array of boats and displays from international exhibitors, the Antibes Yacht Show, April 18 to 21, offers great opportunities for continued education. Among the programs available is a series of seminars organized by The International Superyacht Society.

The AIM Marine Group, now six magazines strong and comprising several of the world’s most important boat shows, including the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, hosted a raucous party aboard the South Beach Lady to celebrate its first anniversary in February.

During the Palm Beach International Boat Show, the International SeaKeepers Society honored one more one of its longest supporters and founding members—yacht owner Alexander Dreyfoos.

The future looked bright for the yachting business after the recent Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, which lined Collins Avenue with one of the biggest fleets in its 25-year history. Exhibitors of everything from motoryachts to water toys to bottom paint gave the show glowing reviews.
