Perini Navi began 2013 with the launch of State of Grace, the first yacht in its new 40-Meter Fast Cruising series entirely built at the group’s Istanbul Yildiz shipyard in Turkey.
Skies were gray and it was drizzling, but even the chilly rain could not dampen spirits at the Rossinavi shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, on February 11, 2013. That day, the yard’s 600-ton travel lift gently laid Vellmarì, its 156-foot (48-meter) Ketos series yacht, into the water.
It’s a gorgeous cool day under a clear blue Miami sky and I’m on board the new Fairline Targa 62GT. It’s my second chance to explore this sleek boat, which debuted at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. While I had a good tour then, there’s nothing like experiencing a boat in motion to truly appreciate the thought behind the design.
Hull No. 1 of Ferretti Yachts’ exciting new flagship—the Ferretti 960—launches later this year. With design by Studio Zuccon International Project and Ferretti’s engineering department, Ferretti’s largest planing yacht to date sports aggressive lines, bright interiors, a full-beam ondeck master stateroom and four lower-deck guest cabins.

The 262-foot CRN 80M marks a milestone for Zuccon International Project as the studio’s biggest yacht so far. The studio designed the yacht’s internal layout and defined its outer profile, and focused maintaining ties with the shipyard’s long history and tradition.
The launch of a new yacht is always a big event. But the launch of Chopi Chopi at CRN in Ancona, Italy, on January 12, 2013 was bigger than most. At 262 feet 3 inches and 2,400 tons, Chopi Chopi is very big, but she also is the largest yacht yet to be built by CRN, the largest yacht to be built on Italy’s Adriatic coast and one of the largest yachts launched in Italy to date.
A technically advanced long-range cruising yacht with a detailed, luxurious interior, the new Princess is a production yacht with all the allure and trimmings of a custom build. She was the perfect step forward for a long-time Princess owner.
Sessa is a relative newcomer to the flybridge market. A year ago it introduced in Miami its first flybridge yacht, the Fly 45. Then came the Fly 40. In Miami this year Sessa unveils its 54 in part to meet the demands of its US dealer Total Marine.
This year, the builder, represented in the United States by the energetic team at Denison Yachts, is expected to make a big splash. The company plans to present the MCY 76, a new MCY 70 and the MCY 65; all are expected at the Yacht & Brokerage Show.
