Boston Whaler debuts the new 270 Dauntless

Boston Whaler launches its 270 Dauntless this month, a nice option as a versatile towable center-console tender. With a length of 27 feet 4 inches (27ft 10in with platform) and a 9-foot beam, the largest boat in Boston Whaler’s Dauntless line offers expanded storage, seating and greater fuel capacity (150 gallons), plus upgraded helm seating and leaning post.

Nouvoyage Introduces the Limousine Tender 33

While amphibious vehicles certainly aren’t new, Nouvoyage’s Limousine Tender 33 may be the first to combine an amphibious craft with top-of-the line luxury. This 33-foot craft includes comfortable seating for 12 passengers and two crew.

Two Tenders That Turn Heads

Choosing a tender for your superyacht is getting harder and harder. Now two more options join the international lineup: Scandinavian builder Delta Powerboats’ Delta 26 and Colombo Boats’ Colombo 32 designed by Nuvolari-Lenard.

Making Waves: Posh – The Next Generation

The 1937 mahogany commuter yacht Posh left more than one visitor awestruck when she pulled alongside the docks at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. She is part of what may be the most famous triumvirate in the history of boating—three exceptional boats designed by John Hacker and built in the late 1930s by Huskins Boat Works of Bay City, Mich.: WeeJoe II, Tempo and Thunderbird.

Oceans 12: Hodgdon Limo Tenders

The 35-foot (10.5-meter) Michael Peters–designed Hodgdon Limo tender is a versatile fiberglass and carbon-fiber beauty. The hydraulically raising roof means guests won’t dampen their spirits in inclement weather or miss out on a sunny day. This feature provides easy boarding and 360-degree ventilation.

Oceans 12: Iguana 24

Judging from the reactions at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, this yet-unclassified craft has plenty of appeal. The Iguana 24 is still a prototype, but the Iguana 29 is already in construction at the shipyard in Normandy, France. The brainchild of a former Accenture executive, the Iguana craft is an amphibious vehicle moved by rubber tracks on land and a Mercury outboard on water.

Posh: The Next Generation of Mahogany

Visitors to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, especially yearly visitors, can become almost jaded by the splendor of the yachts on display, so when something manages to grab attention away from the latest superyacht launch, it’s worth noting. That’s what happened this year with the 1937 mahogany commuter yacht Posh.

AB Inflatables Lightweight Center Console

Among the many tenders debuting at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this week is a light and compact tender from AB Inflatables. Equipped with the standard 20hp four-stroke Tohatsu engine, it weighs just 425 pounds. However, the new 10 VSX is no lightweight when it comes to equipment and performance.
