There’s been a change at the helm of Danish Yachts. Patrik von Sydow has been named CEO of the shipyard, located in Skagen, Denmark.

A Swedish national, Von Sydow most recently served as CEO of Numarine and has enjoyed a long career in the yachting industry, including holding positions at Sealine and Sunseeker.
Danish Yachts builds both superyachts and commercial vessels, and Von Sydow says he is looking forward to leading the shipyard’s skilled workforce in both segments, along with “flying the flag for the Danish marine industry on the world stage.”
Award-winning superyacht launches for Danish Yachts include the modern J Class yacht Ranger and the 124-foot-8-inch (38-meter) carbon-fiber motoryacht Shooting Star.
On the commercial side, the shipyard is nearing completion of the first SWATH vessel to be constructed in carbon fiber. Called SeaStrider, she is designed to be a lightweight yet exceptionally strong transport vessel for workers bound for offshore wind turbine farms.
