Power cat is an “A-list” effort

Custom yachtbuilder Logos Marine Ltd. has launched the first 110-foot-6-inch (33.7-meter) power catamaran Quaranta, christened

SuperMaran,

for Curvelle. Curvelle’s founder and CEO Luuk van Zanten assembled an A-list team to bring his dream to fruition: exterior styling is by Bristish design firm Lila-Lou, naval architecture is by Australia’s Incat Crowther, with composite engineering from Gurit-High Modulus, noise and vibration design from Van Capellen, and systems and outfit design/engineering by Logos’ in-house team. The big cat’s layout offers copious exterior and interior entertainment space along with flexible accommodations, including six guest cabins at main-deck level that can be converted to three large suites. Her interior also encompasses a large pilothouse, salon/dining area, galley, six-person crew quarters and laundry. Powered by twin 1,900-hp Caterpillar C32 Acerts, she is expected to deliver a maximum speed of 25 knots, a cruise of 22 and an economical long-range speed of 12 knots. The Quaranta is built to RINA charter class rules and MCA for unrestricted service. She will be present at major European and US boat shows this year. Stay tuned for more details.
