Third in builder’s 50m Series
The secret of a successful semi-custom series mostly lies in a design that appeals to a wide range of owners, but the recipe must contain other important ingredients such as construction to high standards, attractive price and appealing delivery time. Heesen Yachts is adept at bringing these ingredients together, and the result is that of a growing commercial success for the Dutch brand.

Ventura, the most recent yacht the Oss-based shipyard presented, is the third unit in the 50m series of semi-displacement yachts inaugurated with Satori in 2011. Frank Laupman/Omega Architects is responsible for the muscular exterior lines. To develop an efficient hull, Heesen engaged Van Oossanen Naval Architects, which designed a hard-chine hullform with a fine entry. Hull lines intended to minimize resistance allow a reduction in required horsepower and improved fuel consumption. Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 engines, Ventura will reach a top speed of 22.5 knots and will achieve a range of 3,200 nautical miles at 11 knots.
The interior layout of Ventura is totally different from her sisterships. At her owner’s request, the yacht has two master staterooms, one of which is located on the bridge deck with a 280-degree panoramic view, and the other is situated on the main deck forward.
The décor was created by Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, who gave the yacht’s interior a sophisticated, contemporary style enhanced by a patterned, polished, ebony parquet floor coupled to whitened oak paneling. Throughout the yacht, the designer has created focal points and niches, purposely lit, to host refined artwork. A yacht with a strong personality, Ventura’s hull is painted in a dark metallic gray and the superstructure in a light metallic gray. The final effect is distinctive.
