Yachts are passion projects, so why not capture your yacht as a work of art? New York based artist and designer Scott McBee has a lifelong love of ocean liners and yachts, so began capturing their iconic beauty in his artwork.

Built by Burger in 1967, Zerlina fell into disrepair and was on the verge of being abandoned. At least, until it was found by Fugl and Polito and a seven-month restoration process began, after which she began the longest journey of her 44 years.

After the success of its inaugural competition in 2012, Awlgrip has announced the call for entries to their Future Interior Designer competition. Aiming to discover new superyacht interior designers, the competition asks entrants to create innovative designs using new materials and producing ergonomic and easy to build interiors.

Earlier this year, the 40-year-old River Bend Marine Center gained new owners including businessman Roger Moore. Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Moore now resides aboard his 84-foot Northern Marine expedition yacht docked on the New River.

The Antibes Yacht Show runs Apr. 18-21 and it promises to be an event to remember. Event coordinators have been working hard to draw yachts over 65 feet (20 meters), Alter Ego, the 111-foot (34-meter) tug converted by CMN in 2001, will be just one of the big boats on display.

The West Indies island of St. Kitts was formerly known as St. Christophe Island. Now St. Christophe’s name graces the island’s scenic southeast area, named Christophe Harbor. That is where for the past few years, a group of investors has dreamed and planned a 2,500-acre real estate sort with a superyacht marina.
