Pacific (Ex-Project Josi)

LENGTH: 279ft. 6in. (85.2m)
SHIPYARD: Lurssen, Germany
YEAR: 2010

This alluring yacht, formerly Project Josi, features styling and naval architecture by Buenos Aires-based Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering and an interior by Bannenberg & Rowell. Germán Frers and son have designed more than 1,000 sailboats and motoryachts, emphasizing the connection between the owner and the sea. Frers admits to having been a reluctant powerboat designer at first, but he now likes the challenge of designing powerboats that are both simpler and more efficient than average, more like sailing yachts. Pacific is a very secretive yacht and not much is known about her up to this point. She stopped in Fort Lauderdale in the winter of 2011, revealing a bit more of herself, including a shimmering paint that changes with the light, refreshingly simple lines, a relatively low profile for a yacht this size destined for exploration and a transom garage full of toys. We hope to see more of her in the near future.
