The end of April saw the launch of the second AC 72 to bear the Oracle Team USA logo. After a toast and traditional breaking of the Champagne over the hull at the team’s base at Pier 80 in San Francisco, the boat and the Oracle team took to the water.

The Antibes Yacht Show runs Apr. 18-21 and it promises to be an event to remember. Event coordinators have been working hard to draw yachts over 65 feet (20 meters), Alter Ego, the 111-foot (34-meter) tug converted by CMN in 2001, will be just one of the big boats on display.

On March 23, the Yachts International Lake Pavilion at the Palm Beach Boat Show was the venue for the kick-off party for the new foundation, Ports of Cause (POC). The primary sponsors of the event were Active Interest Media and Element Financial.
